The author is a father of three young girls and he is passionate about parenting. He has personally gone on a journey of learning and developing the relationship between him and his daughters. He delights in seeing his children become bigger and better individuals.

The book shows that anything happening around us can be used to develop the children, through discussion, communication, and engagement. I can really see the kids benefiting from this approach throughout their lives. The book is peppered with business and history stories, I really enjoyed reading those. In a strange way, I liked the no-nonsense approach to discipline, and I found that the book offered many practical examples of how to apply the principles. All in all, I would say that the book and author are very thoughtful, and it is well written. I felt really inspired by the book - it shows just how much can be achieved through focus, discipline, and effort.
