Still good.

It definately has a different twist than his other books. This book is REALLY educational. There are tons of facts about the Civil War in it. Normally, I am bored with history, but these details were somewhat gruesome. If you are someone who gets grossed out easily, this book is not for you. Sorry. :(

A general who liked to have fun

I highly recommend this book to anyone who likes, or has an interest in baseball. This is because it gives information on someone who might have had invented baseball. There were many surprises in the story, but I will only tell one of them. I was surprised that Abner did not know anything about baseball, if I were to write the book I would have put that Abner did invent baseball. I feel that this book is definitely a page-turner kind of book because every chapter, every page, every paragraph was so interesting you would not want to put it down. All in all, I think this one of the greatest books I have ever read.

Abner & Me

I would give this book 4 stars beacuse I dont think that this baseball card adventure book had as much action in it as the other ones. Also I dont think it was all tht much about baseball I mean they hardly even played it in this book. But I still think this is a great book for anybody that likes baseball By Chris a 6th grader from Maine

Review for Abner and Me

Joe Stoshak, who can travel through time with baseball cards, goes back to 1863 to see if Abner Doubleday invented baseball. This was at the time of the Civil War. This was a very good book but I don't think it was quite as good as the other books in the Baseball Card series. That is because it is more violent than the other books (because of the Civil War). It is still a very good book. I would recommend it to kids over 7 years old. I give 4-1/2 stars out of five.
