Great suspense story with love and faith

Abandoned Identity by Tamara Tilley starts off with a storm that brings Harrison Lynch and Jennifer Patterson together in their office one night. After months of bickering and fighting for power, the two see each other in a new light when Jennifer becomes ill and Harrison becomes her caregiver. Sparks fly between the two, but the next morning, Jennifer has abandoned her life and disappeared. When Harrison investigates, he finds that she wasn't who she said she was, and she haunts his dreams for several years until a chance meeting brings them back together again. Now Jennifer has to trust Harrison with her life and her secret if they are to be together. Tilley takes an intriguing premise and runs with it. Jennifer, a firm non-believer, is a great character; she's smart, fast on her feet, and stubborn. Harrison, who finds faith after losing Jennifer, is every woman's dream: handsome, caring, protective, and sweet. Together they make a terrific couple. Occasionally the dialogue is a bit clunky, and the plot doesn't always flow, but the story and action make it work. I really enjoyed how Tilley wove the story about David hiding from Saul into the mix. There are several parallels, especially when Jennifer fakes insanity, but they are never overpowering. The way Tilley uses them makes both stories come more fully to life. This is a wonderful book by a new author, and I think with a little more experience, she will make a first rate writer. I look forward to reading her other books.

Authentic characters!

Tamara Tilley's second novel delves in to a world of murder, betrayal, deception and revenge! That said, the developing relationship between Harrison, a man of integrity and achievement and Jennifer, a woman with a past so complicated by secrets and betrayals that she shuns any form of emotional attachment, that captured me . You ride the waves of emotion that both plague and bless the characters as they struggle to find common ground on issues of faith, integrity and commitment. There is an edginess to Abandoned Identity, not always expected in Christian books, as attraction and temptation are addressed honestly in this character driven novel. Abandoned Identity and Tamara's first book, Full Disclosure have fascinated me and I look forward to reading more from her in the future.

OUTSTANDING!!!

If I could rate this book higher than a 5, I most definetly would. Tamara Tilley has once again proven that she is a very well talented author. This book has so many twists and unexpected turns. I love a good book that you can't predict what is going to happen next, so you absolutely can not put it down. That is exactly what happened when I started to read this book. (shhh...I ended up taking it to work even, and reading it on my down time....and I really don't ever have down time...so I read it anyway) I finished this book in 3 days! I have read it again since. I fell in love with the characters, Jennifer and Harrison. It's a great love, romantic, adventureous, dramatic, and even humorous at times, story. I didn't want it to end. I look forward to reading more of Tamara Tilley's publishings in the upcoming future. I highly recommend this book to everyone!

Keeps you guessing!

Tamara Tilley has outdone herself this time! I was hooked from the first page. There were many twists and turns to the storyline--I didn't want to put it down. "Abandoned Identity" has a very intriguing storyline which touches on faith, betrayal, and fear...as well as overcoming a painful past and learning to trust and love. I felt real empathy for the characters, Harrison and Jennifer, as they struggled to find a way to be together despite the tremendous odds that were pulling them apart. There are tender moments of romance, thought-provoking suspense and plenty of action as they try to escape their unique and heartbreaking circumstances. I personally enjoyed this even more than her first book "Full Disclosure" and can't wait to see what she comes out with next.
