Death is never the end of the story. In 1991, as Linda Alice Dewey walked through an abandoned cemetery, she and a companion felt a presence. She returned to that graveyard over the next couple of... This description may be from another edition of this product.
This is one of those rare books that you wish would continue on after the ending because you've become deeply absorbed in and compassionate about the character's journey of self discovery. There are also captivating lessons about family dynamics, the unfolding and grasping of the meaning of relationships, selfless love and devotion, and the fascinating description of our mysterious existence beyond this physical life. It is well written and engrossing, flowing easily and unfolding naturally in a compelling manner so that you sincerely become interested in the development and experiences of the characters. This is one of the best books I've read in such a long time, and I can't help but feel something has changed inside me after reading it. I am looking forward to the author's next book supposedly coming out in Fall 2008, "The Ghost Who Would Not Die," of which I found a description on the author's website.
Eye-Opening and Heart-Opening, Too!

What a wonderful book! If you've ever read any Sylvia Browne or "Lilydale", you are aware that "we're not alone" by any means. This book does a great job of helping you understand the concept of the Second Layer. And of course it helps you re-examine your own life & how you look at/react to things....we can't do it alone and it will work out, the way its supposed to. I was torn over this book; I wanted to keep reading straight thru till the end, but I also wanted to savor it & make it last as long as possible! Being originally from Michigan, my girlfriend back home loaned me the book. It was just the icing on the cake that it was set (mostly) in Michigan; it would be wonderful no matter what the setting. I will buy two copies of my own; one to keep for myself and the other to loan out to everybody! You owe it to yourself to buy/read this book!
Now, I'm Back In This World...I Think!!

I've read this book three times, and plan to reread it again soon. I still can't stop thinking about it. I was really 'not in this world' anymore when I finished this fantastic story. What a read! Being a voracious reader, I know from the first few sentences whether I am hooked or not, and this was obviously one to just go with!! I loved the premise, and the characters were quirky and real. The style of the writing was deceptively simple so everyone can read and love this story, but it is also very sophisticated in the sense that it assumes that the reader and the author are sharing this experience together. One doesn't need to be convinced of the plot. That is not a simple thing to do when reading about ghosts, but Dewey's total involvement makes it very real. I can truly say that I just know that this happened! I highly reccommend "Aaron's Crossing" for anyone who hopes that their next read is an incredible one. This one is. You'll love it!
The first new book I've bought in years

When I saw this book in the store I knew I would enjoy it. I couldn't put it down because I had to see what events had shaped Aaron's life preventing him from crossing over, and what prompted him so many years later to follow the author and share his life story with her. There is a lesson to be learned here about how we live our lives, and suffer the consequences of choices made.
WONDERFUL

Great book, a real page turner, had a hard time closing it at night to go to bed. Couldn't wait to find out what happened to Aaron on the next page. Keep up the good work, looking forward to the next book.
