How often when flying do we ask for an aisle seat but get stuck in the middle? And when we're twisting our bodies into yet-named yoga postures in order to stow our belongings under the seat in front... This description may be from another edition of this product.
I was very moved by Aardvark Memories. The author does an excellent job of weaving the lives of the complex characters into a suspenseful and unusual plot. I especially liked the fact that the main characters are all strong women dealing with real-life issues like breast cancer and obesity. The plot is outrageous, yet believeable, and has several interesting twists. The ending is satisfying. The author is a commericial pilot and brings a fascinating perspective of the airline industry into the story. I would recommend this book highly to anyone seeking hours of entertainment.

I really enjoyed Aardvark Memories by Lisa Stout. The story held my attention from the first page to the last, and I reached the point at which I couldn't put the book down until I had finished it. Ms. Stout has done her homework well, and her portraits of the homeless, the cancer-stricken, and those who turn to alcohol for escape, ring true. As a commercial airline pilot, Ms. Stout brings a special authenticity to those parts of the book which involve flying, and some of the most gripping moments take place on board an airliner. I recommend Aardvark Memories.
