Kolb's book indeed contains all that is necessary to be a good writer. His articles are comprehensive, though not exhaustive. The format is in articles from A-Z. The book covers grammar, style, punctuation, and usage. It is packed with information in only 102 pages. Its usefulness is testified by the fact that the book is still in print after 20 years. Writers should have this on the shelf next to "The Elements of Style," "Modern American Usage," and "On Writing Well."
