“We are such stuff as dreams are made of” – from the Tempest/Shakespeare

This is Madeleine L’Engle’s 7th work of fiction and is an excellent start to the “A Wrinkle in Time Quintet.” The book is dedicated to “Charles” Wadsworth Camp (the father of Madeleine) and “Wallace” Collin Franklin. I like the way that Madeleine had the guts to start with “It was a dark and stormy night,” the line from ‘Paul Clifford’ (1830). From there, the book is packed with references to many things that she assumed the reader is aware of. If you are not aware, then you will miss out on lots of the fun of this book. After reading this story, it will make you wonder about people who say, “I love ‘It’.” The story is about misunderstood Meg, who searches for her misplaced father. In the process, she finds herself. We may also find ourselves in the process. Try not to pull the book apart – just go along for the ride.
