For those who appreciate liturgy

Wonderful manual for altar guild members! Too bad every church doesn't get to see and enjoy what goes on behind the scenes of preparing for a meaningful, respectful, quiet, peaceful worship service. If they could read this manual, they might understand why we Anglicans feel the importance of being still and quiet so we can listen for God to speak.

An Excellent Manual

As an Episcopal priest, I have found this book comprehensive and helpful. It covers many small things (example: exactly where to put the Pascal candle at Easter) which do not appear in other Altar Guild manuals. The illustrations are also excellent. I use it with my Altar Guild, and recommend it for yours.

I am the Directoress of the Altar Guild at a small Anglican church . This book was recommended to me for the further instruction of other members. I found it very comprehensive as it describes the altar procedures for all shapes and sizes of altars as well as pictorial assistance. I can highly recommend it to other Anglican communities.
