His recount of detail about the city by the bay along with its history reads like a nostalgic period piece, offering glimpses of San Francisco only life long inhabitants could have experienced. The twists and turns of the main character play out like an ideal novel for screenplay adaptation, allowing the reader's visualization to savor the sights, sounds, and even flavors of SF. Once a few pages are read, the book will grip you and cause you to go to the next page to see what happens, commanding a spell of intoxicating situations provoking your credibility of thought.

Kudos for Spolter!

Spolter's novel is a very enjoyable read and hopefully it is the first of more to come. With a style close to that of Carl Hiaasen, Spolter leads the reader on an action-packed, suspenseful and hilarious journey through the city of San Francisco. The main character, Peter Tuelly, gets himself into a jam after a party celebrating his recent divorce. In one crazy week he meets the new love of his life, becomes the unknowning thief of a valuable sculpture and then becomes the unknown hero when he leads the police and the press to the real culprits. His style is delightful. Kudos for Spolter!
