SHE HAD NO MEMORY AND NO PAST - COULD THEY HAVE A FUTURE
Published by Thriftbooks.com User , 17 years ago
No memory - mind control - spooky passages - lost child - nothing is as it seems. Slade Rawlins wants to find out who murdered his mother. This is his driving passion. His twin sister, Shelley may know more about their mother's murder than she thinks. It could get her killed. Holly Barrows is afraid that she is losing her mind. Was her baby really still-born? Or had the "monsters" stolen her child? How did she find Slade a second time? Or was she sent to him? Holly had married Dr. Allan Wellington, a famed doctor of his infertility clinic. His sister, Inez, means to keep his legacy alive. He dies of an apparent heart attack. Questionable! Police Chief L. T. Curtis wants Slade to leave the finding of Marcella's murder to him. Her murder has gone unsolved for 20 years - until her son stumbled across one of her letters. Dr. Fred Delaney got himself killed because he knew too much. He had been the Rawlins' family doctor for years. The nurse, Lorraine Vogel knew where all the bodies were buried. Her son, Roy confessed to the murder and he was expendable. Jerry Dunn the pharmacist, was doing only what his father had done before him. Silly man. These are some of the characters that have made this story work - the mystery of the lost baby and the 20 year old murder kept one's interest in finding out who was who. Slade had his own fears to contend with and also trying to find a way to wake Holly up to their passion. I thoroughly enjoyed this story and will keep this one. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED - drafty tunnels and all.
