His sister, Inez, means to keep his legacy alive. He dies of an apparent heart attack. Questionable! Police Chief L. T. Curtis wants Slade to leave the finding of Marcella's murder to him. Her murder has gone unsolved for 20 years - until her son stumbled across one of her letters. Dr. Fred Delaney got himself killed because he knew too much. These are some of the characters that have made this story work - the mystery of the lost baby and the 20 year old murder kept one's interest in finding out who was who. Slade had his own fears to contend with and also trying to find a way to wake Holly up to their passion. I thoroughly enjoyed this story and will keep this one. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED - drafty tunnels and all.
