"A Wiggles and Wags Tale" is a very sweet story about the adoption of little dogs who were abandoned and left homeless. This book addresses the sad fact that there are an enormous amount of abandoned, abused and homeless pets. It describes many of the causes and how one may help prevent this type of abuse to continue. The book also point out the responsibilities of pet ownership which is a very important lesson for children and parents. It allows the reader to realize how rescuing a homeless pet (if the proper choice) could bring so much joy and enrichment into their lives. I feel children as well as adults could be made more aware of this epidemic and become more responsible when choosing a pet. I have always felt a story should do more than just entertain. It should make people think and learn and feel - especially children who are so impressionable, curious and eager to learn. I believe "A Wiggles and Wags Tale" does that. This is the first book of a series in "A Wiggles and Wags Tale," subtitled 'Coming Home'. the second is subtitled 'Fun at the Park' and the third is 'Rescued Heroes'.
