A Whole L'Otter Fun at the Zoo!

Based on a trip to the Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium, this illustrated children's book showcases the animals in the zoo illustrated in unique monoprints.

Monoprints are much like animals- always unpredictable and lots of fun. Each monoprint is created by painting in reverse on a sheet of glass or plastic. This is then pressed onto a sheet of paper with a very heavy roller press- creating the print. The resulting illustrations have lively colors to draw in young readers and are unique in their style.

Each page also includes a fact or two about the animals at the zoo. Species included are sea otters, the clouded leopard, meerkats, budgies, the Arctic fox, musk ox, Megellanic penguins, the walrus, purple starfish, the lionfish, and seahorses.
