About the Book

Growing up in Eastern North Carolina and traveling to fifty-nine countries and eight islands, the author listened to God and, with loving obedience, wrote the words He spoke to her. It was surprising, yet clear, the words God spoke - were poetry. Poems were written on notebook paper, napkins, paper bags, and even torn cardboard boxes, but one thing was consistent about each writing: they all came as one complete thought.

Since the author published A Guiding Light: Poems and Reflections (2016), which was inspired by the Holy Spirit and Words of Wisdom, Mama U Speaks on Business and Life (2022), inspired by those who sought her business wisdom, she has continued to write as God has spoken.

Some of her poems are simple and short; they convey basic biblical principles. Other poems provide an instructional mini-sermon in an inspirational style.

From the beginning to the end, one thing is certain ... you will hear God because you will hear His words. It will also be obvious that the author loves the Lord. In a warm, southern, conversational style reflective of her childhood in New Bern, North Carolina, the author opens her heart to share God's talks with her. She continues to be inspired by her walk of faith and lovingly shares a beautiful, inspirational book of poems.
