Ahoy! This is a Whale of a Book!

Can learning be fun??!?! Well, it sure can if you use the special activities in this classic book to teach your children many golden lessons. My "youngins" especially loved the "loony spoons" game, which reinforces comprehension skills. But the all-time favourite learning game in our household is "Hugo the stuffed overdue library book bear"--using a simple index card and a piece of coloured string, you can turn a toy into a tool for teaching your "little ones" the value of promptness and fiscal responsibility. Check out "Whale of a Pail"--just be sure to return it on time ; )
