What would happen if you could change just one minute of your past? Which minute would give you everything you've ever wanted?

Mary Ann finds herself caught between two men. When she chooses Brad, she pours herself into creating the perfect marriage. But she can't stop wondering what life would have been like if she had pursued Robert-a friend who had always seemed distant and mysteriously complex.

Embarking on a vacation with Brad, Robert, and Robert's girlfriend, Mary Ann has no idea that she's about to discover a way to unlock the mystery of what her life would be like if she could go back and change the past.

One morning, Mary Ann wakes up and is stunned to discover that she is Robert's wife. It affords her the opportunity to understand Robert's mysterious ways and see herself through his eyes. Compelled to explore other issues in her life, such as friendship, motherhood, and sexuality, Mary Ann discovers her true self and what love really means.

Great read for a quiet afternoon.

Genre: Fiction/Chick Lit Title: A Walk on the Cliffs AUTHOR: Margo Reasner Mary Ann and Brad live in New England where their relationship blooms after seven years of marriage. Mary Ann is an independent spirit and Brad is the perfect companion allowing her as much freedom as she wants. Everything is perfect except for one little secret; Mary Ann has been fantasizing about Robert for years. Robert is Brad's best friend and although no lines have ever been crossed, Mary Ann definitely has a thing for Robert. The three friends meet up in Northern California for their annual get together and things change drastically. Robert arrives in California accompanied by Crystal, the self-centered and cranky model. Needless to say, the foursome has its problems. While walking on the cliffs near the vacation home, Mary Ann falls and hits her head. Mysteriously, when she awakens, she is married to Robert and her life has changed dramatically. Character interaction is good with believable personalities. Story is simple, light and airy, no heavy mystery or suspense here. The cover is attractive and will draw potential buyers. Chick lit fans will like this one! Author Margo Reasner was born and raised in Northern California thus her descriptions of the scenery are intense and accurate. She now lives in a suburb of Boston. This is her first novel. A nice short and easy read for a quiet afternoon or a take along to the beach. Reviewer: Shirley Roe, Allbooks Reviews.

A terrific "what-if" story

I read this book in an evening and thoroughly enjoyed weaving my way through its basic theme: woman meets two men and marries the steady one, often wondering what her life would be like if she had married the exciting one. A Walk on the Cliffs let me explore the answer in a delightful imaginative twist of the plot. A little slow to start, the story picks up the pace and hooked me into its intriguing romantic fantasy and characters until the end. I'm looking forward to more from Margo Reasner.

"Quick, Interesting Read"

It's crossed the minds of many: the desire to explore the "what-ifs" of life and wondering, but if one moment could be changed, which one would it be? While in college, Mary Ann just misses the chance to be with Robert yet in its place finds happiness with his friend, Brad. Years later, the trio of now good friends embark upon their annual journey accompanied by Robert's newest girlfriend, Crystal. Not one to act on her unspoken feelings for Robert for fear of hurting Brad, the questions remain deep within Mary Ann about how things might have been if only those few years sooner she'd made a different decision. As Mary Ann goes out to explore the rugged cliffs of the California coast, she suddenly finds herself in the midst of an alternate reality--one that provides her the very opportunity she's always secretly wanted. A Walk on the Cliffs was a quick yet interesting read that agreeably worked it's way through the dilemma of a woman loving one man while being "in love" with another. Good job, Margo! Prepare to thoroughly enjoy yourself

Who doesn't fantasize at one time or another what it's like being married but always thinking of how life would of been with another? Who doesn't think about the use to be's in our lives, and who if given the opportunity to choose somewhere down the line someone from our past over who is our present? Is the grass greener on the other side? Maryann takes us on an awesome personal journey from lovely New England to the beautiful Pacific Coast Highway in California and allows us to become totally entwined in the mystery of her love lives. If you enjoy being totally captivated then this is a must read. I picked it up and didn't put it down until it was finished.

Worth the read!

Mary Ann believes she is a happily married woman. However, she has always wondered where her life would have led her if she had taken a different path seven years ago, choosing a relationship with Robert instead of with her husband Brad. The three of them have remained close friends since college. Now, all three are vacationing together. Mary Ann wakes up one morning and is shocked to find that she is suddenly Robert's wife. She is forced to face some of her issues and finds what love means to her. This is a quick, easy-to-read romance, and I enjoyed getting to know the characters. The story is original and the descriptions of the beauteous scenery along Northern California's Hwy 1 add to the mystery and romance of the topsy-turvy relationships that Mary Ann struggles to come to terms with. Armchair Interviews says that this book had some surprising moments and will lead readers to wonder about the "what ifs" in their own romantic pasts.
