He became a Professor of Scripture at the Westminster Seminary but left the Priesthood after he was forbidden to preach or teach his forword thinking. He remained a Catholic and went on to marry and adopt two children. Using his extraordinary diaries, with the letters and press cuttings he kept, this book is a unique insight into the history of the English Catholic Church.
