A small village resides in the alps of southern Germany during 1000 AD. No civilized people dare cross the deserted alps, making it far behind on new advancements and technology. Curiosity strikes three kids: Luke, David, and Alviva. They decide to leave the village to search for others. They cross mountains, scale cliffs, and trudge through muddy swamps in search of civilization. Their search leads them into northern Italy. They find the city of Venice, where their fate awaits them.
