Teen Tenderness

Non-typical 1980's teen-aimed material at a time when raunchier movies like the "Porky's" films, "Fast Times at Ridgemont High", "Bachelor Party", "Fraternity Vacation", "Spring Break", etc.. were hitting the theatres and videocassette markets and oriented toward young viewers(not to mention the slasher teen flicks on screen and VHS). Sensitive and tender, with an ABC Afterschool Special following it in the following year.

It is typical 1980's teen relationship story. A young, handsome man is one of the few virgins in his school, until he meets a equally virginal young but troubled girl about his age. An ABC After School Special was shown on February 12, 1986 based on this book starring Steve Antin (who played an opposite stud character in "The Last American Virgin" and a rape acquitance in "The Accused") and Heather Lankamp from the first (1984) "Nightmare on Elm Street" movie.
