A Tourist in Zombie Country

The zombie pandemic breaks out. America descends into chaos. Chris, a tourist from Switzerland, finds himself stranded in Memphis. He embarks on a dangerous road trip to Atlanta and the coast, hoping to find a remnant of civilization and a means of transport across the ocean. The experience gathered in the Swiss army comes in handy because marauders, rapists, murderers, religious crackpots and millions of zombies rule the land. But Chris not only tries to survive. He is also an observer. He notices some bizarre characteristics in the zombies, ponders on the long-term prospects of the few survivors, and comments on some American idiosyncrasies. Will Chris find a way to return to his country and to his daughter? Can anyone explain the cause of the pandemic and the strange zombie behavior?
