A Time For Thirst: Being With Jesus

Jesus, while nailed to the Cross, spoke to his disciples who were stationed before him and said "I thirst." Unlike our own need for water and to quench the desire to satisfy our thirst, Jesus thirsted in a different way. I Thirst will seek to look at the different ways in which Jesus thirsted from the Cross and how it helped fulfill his mission to the Father. I Thirst will also look into the ways in which Jesus used this same work throughout his ministry calling forth a response from his hearers. I Thirst will look at passages from Saints, Popes, Mystics and Martyrs who have followed the example of Jesus and show how they interpreted his words from the Cross. In short, I Thirst will look at the ways and means to draw closer to Christ during this Lenten Season by applying his words to our life in the hope that his words will inspire and strengthen our inner commitment to return love to the Eternal Father for making us his adopted children. I Thirst brings to light some aspirations of devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, which as provided for personal reflection and spiritual growth.
