author Louis Karno wrote while incarcerated for five
years in the Louisiana DOC 'Department Of
Corrections" penal system. In this situation where he
experienced 26 months in extended lockdown where
in a normal situation where a person would fold he
prospered and learned to turn the negative situation
he was in into a positive. The transformation that
took place is written down in these poems as
enlightenment slowly showed itself. This book was
