Great introduction to object-orientation and smalltalk.
Published by Thriftbooks.com User , 27 years ago
The author takes a single application "Towers of Hanoi" and starts with simple examples in C, Pascal, Lisp and Smalltalk. He then proceeds to expand on the simple smalltalk example making more extensive usage of the language and object oriented concepts with each step. As the title states, the book is just a "taste" and makes no pretense of being a reference manual. It's short enough to be easily digested yet large enough to give you a good feel for the concepts.I first read this book years ago and after long searching, finally found another copy. It was well worth the hunt.
