A Taste For Money.

Wow! What an excellent book! As soon as i started i could not stop. I finished in 3 days. The compelling story of 3 men overcome with the plague of greed is absolutely fantastic. Great graphic accounts and and overall outstanding job in all areas of the book. This book satisfied my thirst for mystery, action, and a law enforcement genre of a book. Every account was significant and the story unfolded very vividly thus, making the book one of the best i have ever read. Now i cant wait to read both of the others. Pete i wont hesitate to say YOU are the man and thanks for the good read.

"taste of Money"

What in incrediable book. I started reading it and just could not put it down. These boston police officers did what, most parents of young children want to do to drug dealers. I can not wait to read Pete Mars next book The Tunnell.

WHEN IS THE NEXT ONE!!??

I have read both of Pete's books, and enjoyed them both. However, this is by far the best of the two. The storyline is entertaining and suspenseful and the ending thought-provoking. I also live in Maine, so I enjoy reading about these events which took place not far from where I grew up! I would like to also add that I am NOT a true-crime fan, nor are mysteries my number one choice in reading material. I read Peter Mars' books not really knowing what I was getting myself into, and not really knowing if I would enjoy them. I loved every minute. Trust me, even if you aren't a crime-reader, try these.

A Taste for Money was well written. The author caught my curiosity early on. Having summered in the New England area just north of Boston for many years, this story is more than believable. It shows a very dedicated police officer becoming involved and entangled in the web of GREED and how the tentacles reach out bringing other people into the fold. Every policemen should read this book. It takes you through the process of a good police officer winding his journey to becoming a rogue cop. Read it. You won't lay it down until you close the rear cover.

Mars does it again--only better!

Having read and enjoyed "The Tunnel" I eagerly awaited Mr Mars 2nd novel and found it well worth the wait! His characters are well defined and believable, and his use of familiar locale is exciting to this New England reader. His main character's decline is almost sad because the character is, for the most part, a pretty nice guy and his first step into the wrong side of the law is almost sympathetic. I loved this book more than the first and will be watching for more from this author!!!
