I absolutely love this book. As the official reviewers state above, it is true that it really is for adults rather than children, as children will probably not get it. But for adult cat lovers, it is a real treat. As one who loves cats, cat art, and travel, this was the perfect book for me, depicting cats in a sidewalk Parisian café, cats in a gondola by the Rialto bridge in Venice, cats visiting the Sphinx in Egypt, which of course has the face of a cat. Smith's artwork is fantastic, very warm and colorful, and the subject makes it even better. Recommended for those who enjoy whimsical cat art and stories.
