As Mom exited my room, fresh tears filled my eyes. On Monday, Ansel and I had gotten into a huge fight. We both had said some things that we didn't mean. We hadn't spoken since. As the week had gone on, my anger had turn into sadness, and the wish of taking back what I said hit my heart hard. Moving on, the fight between Ansel and me, as well as the fact that her lived over 1,000 miles away and couldn't be here tonight, were the main reasons why I did not want to go to homecoming. After all, I would be one of the only ones there without a date. Originally, this hadn't bothered me, and I was planning to go in the first place. I had even bought the beautiful dress and shoes. However, since the fight, going to homecoming just didn't interest me anymore.
