When Benjamin Frazier first lays eyes on Henny Murray, he is none too pleased. He did not order a mail order bride, and he does not want one. Benjamin is content with his life on the small farm, and the company of his animals. But his elderly neighbor Mavis Fox thinks otherwise, and so has sent for Henny without his knowledge. Surely, love will work its course, won't it?
Henrietta Murray is as stubborn as she is smart, and beautiful to boot. She's not too sure about the mule-headed Benjamin, either, but she vows to make the best of her time on the farm. And as she tends to the house and land, she finds herself drawing closer to the kind Fox couple, as well as Benjamin. But she can't love such a stubborn man-can she?
Sometimes, love happens where we least expect it.
