great book for young horse lovers

I read this book for the 1st time in 5th grade and loved it. I was a horse lover, taking riding lessons but a little scared of horses. This book is not meant to be an instruction manual on riding, but rather a wonderful book about overcoming fears. I can not imagine it would in any way make kids or parents fear horses. I am now 26 and pregnant with a little girl and I am buying it for her - it was my favorite book and I read it over and over. I'll probably read it again at 26 years old.

Great Horsey Book!

I thought that A Summer of Horses, was a great book, and i think the person who said "who would ride english on a trail ride?" is totally wrong. I ride english and i've been on more trails than you could ever dream of. Anyway, this was a great book, i cried (seriously) and laughed out loud at some parts. I also think that a great thing about this book is that it is completely origional. I really loved this book, and i highly reccomend you read it!!!

A Great Story

This is a great book about a young girl dealing with her fear of riding horses. Faith was looking forward to spending the summer on a freind of that families farm, learning to ride and spending time with all of her favorite animals. She soon learns that she is terrified of horses and her older sister who has never shown an interest in anything is great at riding. This is a great story about getting over fears, but not the best book when in comes to accuracy about horses.
