What a wonderful romantic page-tuner, and engaging historical fiction!! A Strike to the Heart by author Danielle Grandinetti starts out with a dangerous rescue mission and the suspense doesn't stop until the last page. Author Danielle Grandinetti did her research and her writing skills put you right in the middle of this captivating story. Taking place in Wisconsin in 1933 during the dairy strikes, it was interesting to learn about this time period as well as some of the kidnapping laws recently put into place, all told in the form of a compelling story! Lily Moore is a fiercely independent dog trainer who has her own property and business. Retired marine, and Craft Agency sniper Miles Wright is determined to protect her. A really sweet romance develops almost despite these two strong characters fighting against it. "Who should he fear more... The men who would kill them or the woman who tested the fortifications of his heart?" I highly recommend A Strick to the Heart for lovers of historical fiction, romance, and suspense.
