After eight years, Quanisha Pendergrass, an old college friend, arrives at Dr. Montez Belin's dentistry office with a son she claims is his. She swears they conceived the child while at his fraternity party eight years ago, but Montez has no recollection of it. While he remembers they had a one night stand at the party, she insists that it happened twice in one night. Although they promised for it not to happen again, they drifted apart over the years; causing their close friendship to fade. The years of distance led to many confusing curiosities between the two. Surprisingly after Quanisha's return into his life, Montez finds himself removing his bitter concerns about her. Montez starts to become attached to her little boy who could perhaps be his son and sharing his same name. He is also awakened as he can't control the new passionate feelings that grows for Quanisha; the woman that was once his best friend. He wonders where did they go wrong and why did she wait so long to inform him about their child.(That is, if the child is his.)
