I was drawn toward this book after doing some review work. It defines an era in the development of United States literary history around the 1800's,and also seems to pre-date Ernest Hemingway and Gertrude Stein in its literary clarity. Also, this 1924 book while a little ragged in its cover was nicely preserved inside.
