In this book, I intend to argue that the main character of the play, Mother Courage, fails to provide for her children financially. She loses all her children in the quest of profit. Despite her filial protectiveness, Mother Courage unconsciously perishes her children due to certain shortcomings. Sociologically, these defaults are her state of "alienation," "lack of knowledge," and psychoanalytically, her state of "narcissism." These shortcomings are related to the theory of social psychology.
