El Santo de Tolido is a young man's journey to war in the jungles of Viet Nam and the faith in his religion and family that brings him home wounded, but not broken. My Name is Haircut gives a glimpse of prison life and how names carry more than just a means of being addressed. The remaining stories speak to inanimate objects achieving sentience, while another provides a terror filled tale of ancient rituals, and the last is a view into the Barrio and how important pride can become when living in poverty.
