My poetry was inspired by my family and friends. Everyone who reads or hears my poetry likes it. My story is about my son, who is overseas. He wanted me to get a computer so we could stay in touch by e-mail. So to try out my poetry, I went on Poetry.com and entered a poem. I got the Editor's award, and then they asked me to enter another poem for a chance to go Las Vegas, and I went to Las Vegas.
