A Sinister Cinderella Story

Not every Princess gets the picture perfect start. Some of us have to drag ourselves up and survive against all odds. We don't all get the ideal role model, but sometimes we just have to 'put up and shut up' and be grateful for what we do have. Or maybe we don't. Maybe we shouldn't be made to feel smaller by those who should help us feel strong. Maybe we should get every opportunity to go to each dance and have good holidays like everyone else does. Maybe things should be fairer and some of us shouldn't grow up, thinking that men have a right to us, because we owe everything we have to them.

For me, when I went into care I was placed with someone who made me more vulnerable, put me at risk and exploited my naivety. I was groomed as a child in care and I was taken on luxury holidays in return for keeping a dirty secret. But years later when I went viral on TikTok, an old part of my past, kept rising its head and making me have to face my demons. In front of everyone. But I stayed mostly quiet and refused to address my past. It was history and I wanted to leave it there

But my past keeps digging me out and pushing me to speak on my pain, so here it is. All of it. Unedited (again) and written within a week. I just want my side of my Sinister Cinderella Story to be out there. So that people can draw their own conclusions, on who the bad guy/girl really is...
