A Ship That Changed History is the story of the Ottoman destroyer Muavenet-i Milliye and its role in the Gallipoli naval campaign of World War I. In May 1915, Muavenet-i Milliye sank the battleship HMS Goliath while it was at anchor after supporting naval support for shore landings. Although the hull of Goliath is visited by divers today in the peaceful waters of the Dardanelles, the Gallipoli Campaign was a bitter and brutal contest of naval and land forces. The book is dedicated to all those who were lost in the campaign on both sides.
