A Series of Words is a collection of poems written when I had thoughts and emotions I struggled to voice after my father's death. It follows my journey to accept love after abuse and loss. The book is divided into four sections, each representing the seasons and their associated themes. Starting with Winter, in the wake of my father's death, I bring to light deeply personal sentiments and lay my insecurities bare while dealing with the complexities of grief and trauma. In Spring, my poetry and occasional diary entries hint at the dawn of a shift in perspective. With Summer comes love and the hope for renewed strength. When Fall finally comes around, the leaves settle as I take a clearer, more comfortable look back at my identity.
