Ok. I am a little biased in writing this review as Henry Bridenbecker is my Grandfather, but nonetheless, for anyone who has a love for scratch ship modeling, Henry's works and efforts are beautifully displayed in this large format paperback/coffee table style book. Having for years viewed his ships throughout the house in Temple City, CA, it is interesting to read the history behind each ship that I desparately tried to touch within the glass cases for years...to no avail! Reading the book reminds me of the small workshop in the back of the house where he kept all of his tools and spent many hours devoted to his trade. Unfortunately I didn't take an interest in learning the trade myself (nor did I have the patience) but the respect for the trade and craftsmanship is pure. My Grandfather has passed on now, however his efforts live on via this book. Please enjoy the read. If you are a ship modeler craftsman, you will enjoy the readings as well as the tips Henry provides via his years of experience in the trade. Love you Grandpa.
