The Forged Fates series is set in a world where monsters and dragons replaced cars and planes, created by a mad scientist when he discovered ancient artifacts capable of channeling immense power. Magic appeared once the world was destroyed, still a mystery to its inhabitants.

Richard Days, Roland's father, rallied the people together with the help of an otherwordly golden sword, and people managed to survive for twenty years after the end of the world. Scavengers were created, an elite group of hunters and warriors that devote their lives to unravel the mysteries of the world and provide their people with whatever treasure and resources they can find in the outside world. The short-lived peace came to an end when masked warriors and monsters began to raid human settlements.

Roland wanted to be a Scavenger to explore the world, but he finds himself tangled in a chaotic invasion and forced to set out on a quest to destroy the monsters and madmen that threaten the stability his father fought to forge.
