A Scattering of Memories' drifts through my life covering the period I spent working in the theatre in London's West End (with such luminaries as Vivian Leigh and Margaret Rutherford), running my actors' agency, 'Penny Charteris Management' in Johannesburg for thirty precious years, (handling only the best and most talented of South Africa's actors), and continues intomy retirement, producing eighty-year old retirement-village residents in stage plays and pantomime.

My journey through life embraces joy, fear, disaster, success, romance, adventure, archaeology, Bushman art, witchcraft, murder, a friendly elephant and an aggrieved ghost. All this is shared with a spend-thrift husband, three superbly gifted sons and an assortment of dogs.
