Judith and Kali have left behind their hidden world in the Kalmiopsis Wilderness. With Paul by her side, Judith faces adjusting to life on the "outside." Paul's parents take them in, and the girls are comforted by being part of a family again. The girls experience a constant stream of new experiences as they adjust to modern life. Meanwhile, danger haunts them all after the killers of Judith and Kali's family are released on bail.
