For Colleen Mollard, representing clients in San Francisco isn't all about rolling the dice in court with a sleight-of-hand argument or strategically mapping out a statutory framework as if it were a regulatory obstacle course. Sometimes a client came in who was in really serious trouble, whether because his financial manager didn't leave a forwarding address in the Cayman Islands or the ghost of a really pretty girl spiritually possessed him and proceeded to commit some very unpretty deeds. The latter fairly sums up the situation for Colleen's latest client who, as a starving art student without a Cayman Island bank account, must rely on the kindness of strange strangers and an even stranger attorney. As a counselor-at-law and a bruja-in-training, Colleen must battle both super shady lawyers and supernatural beasties (with some being both). Fortunately she has her support team that includes a werebison, a gnomish duende, and a young brujo-in-training who is the apple of his Bruja Grandmother's eye (second only to her cat). It will take more than this group of delinquents to get the job done, however, requiring Colleen to rely on both old friends and new ones (with most of them expecting a cut of Colleen's score when the case is over).
