With enemies closing in and magic slipping from her control, warrior princess Celeste draws closer to unraveling a prophecy that could cost her the man she loves-as well as her soul.

In the wake of the carnoraxis attack on Ivystone Citadel, Princess Celeste Westergaard's battle for her future has only just begun. Trapped under the king's watchful eye and hiding the magic awakening within her, Celeste must play the role expected of her, all the while uncovering secrets buried throughout Terre Ferique.

As the royal court embarks on a tour to solidify bastard heir Dante's claim to legitimacy, whispers of war and treachery follow their every step. The Shadow Tsar's reach is growing, and the prophecy that fuels his reign foretells the rise of a power that will bring his downfall-one tied to the blood of the fae.

From glittering courts to bloodstained battlefields, Celeste must walk a knife's edge between duty and desire, deception and truth. Because if the tsar discovers who she really is, he won't just come for her magic, he'll come for her soul.

A Sabre in the Hemlock is the thrilling sequel to the multi-award winning A Dagger in the Ivy, weaving romance, danger, and dark intrigue into an unforgettable tale of power and sacrifice.

A Sabre in the Hemlock

I had the pleasure in reading the first installment from Dorothy Dreyer's Blade Bound Saga, A Dagger in the Ivy. I was excited to have the chance to read book two called, A Sabre in the Hemlock. It was great catching up with Celeste and continuing her journey right along with her. My admiration of her grows as I dive into this one. She is faced with danger, adventure, action, and love. I wanted to see how it would end for her and kept reading on from chapter to chapter. Even though her story is almost five hundred pages, I was not intimidated with the size. As it was easy to stay fascinated all the way to the end. For me, I thought this was some much better than the first. It was a wonderful way to spend inside on a few rainy days. I loved it. I am going to give A Sabre in the Hemlock a very well deserved five plus stars. I highly recommend it for readers who love to read the genres of fantasy romance, also known as, romantasy. I am looking forward to reading more books from Dorothy Dreyer in the near future. I believe that her Blade Bound Saga is one not to be missed and definitely worth a read. I received a paperback copy of Dorothy Dreyer's A Sabre in the Hemlock from the publisher, but was not required to write a positive review. This review is one hundred percent my own honest opinion.
