"Grandpa, you need to write a book about all those stories you have been telling us all these years." Well, I thought maybe I would just put the stories down in writing so my grandchildren would have a special keepsake of their grandpa. Lo and behold, they really enjoyed the stories to the point of laughing while reading them. So I hope you have time to sit a spell and read my book. I think you will find it laced with humor, wisdom, common sense, and some history of what it was like growing up on a farm in Nebraska in the 1940s and 1950s.
