Carl and Christine Demarkus leave their home in South Pittsburg, Tennesse for a weekend camping trip on the beautiful Tennessee River. Their plans are disrupted before they even leave the boat ramp. They begin a fight against their own feelings, the elements, thieves, and gang members. Fear, determination, survival,new friends, old friends, sex, and love are their main strength toward staying alive. Everyday seems to be another day of trials and tribulations. Carl not only has to fight the enemy, he deals with the loss of memory. Everyone he knew or meets is another stranger. At first, his only friend is a deer fawn that he saves in the woods. They learn to accompany and trust each other, as they deal with their wounds.
