Great Read

I loved this book because it definitely kept me reading and enthralled until the very last page. A lot of unique characters, although I cannot imagine the two families ever coming together at all. A lot of implausible situations and circumstances, at least from my way of thinking, but the author makes them all work. In 1988, Sloan's brother Ridge went fishing with his Dad and never came home. Twenty years later, Sloan returns to take care of her mother who was just discharged from a mental facility. Sloan returns to the creek where her brother disappeared only to hear a crow saying over and over again, Ridge, Ridge, Ridge. Sloan starts questioning what really happened all those years ago, and what she discovers will forever change her and the town. This is a story of family secrets, deception and revenge full of many twists and turns that will keep you reading until the last page, and will make you continue to think about it long after the final page is turned. I will definitely be looking for more from this talented author.
