A Reluctant Adventure to a Land of Dragons

By Sophie Cork

Book Overview

Fidra Ignis is a pensioner with a plan: to save all of dragon-kind from an impossibly deadly danger with only her sharp wit, her big heart, and her extremely reluctant grandson who just wants to stay at home and let somebody else save the world. Together, they will make fierce enemies and fiercer friends, rediscover unknown lands, and change the course of the entire world. Or, you know, get immediately thwarted by the sheer impossibility of their mission and go home for tea and biscuits before the day is done. Either way, it's going to be a lot of fun

A lighthearted fantasy novel about family, friendship, and finding your place in the world, no matter how difficult it seems. At its heart is an intergenerational grandma-grandson duo who must put aside their differences for the sake of the world, and may just discover who they truly are along the way. Packed with love, humour, and more than a little ridiculousness, this novel serves as a reminder not to take life too seriously, to laugh a bit more and worry a bit less, and to open your heart to every corner of the world.
