When Billy suddenly gets an early release from prison, he tells Zoe his parole officer found him a construction job in a new town. Better yet, he has worked out a plan for his life. She knows Billy is no planner, and he was very good at holding a job before. And he hated working in construction.
Zoe has her doubts, but the job offer is real and comes with a nice apartment. She finds that strange. So is the interest his new employers take in them. Billy says it's all part of the plan, but the plan turns out to involve Billy selling drugs to dangerous people and having her put out for his clients. If they don't comply, his parole officer will violate his parole.
Knowing this will fail big time, she takes a job at a truck stop. There is money to be made there, but that comes from turning tricks. While it isn't the life she dreamed about, it gives her cash Billy and his bosses don't know about... cash she needs to make and execute her own plan... one that doesn't involve Billy or his parole officer.
A dark story of crime and sex.
