They recount their wartime experience, forced labour, hunger and above all their escape which took them from Dreihausen in Germany to Basel in Switzerland. A 460km journey on foot. In 2019 his grandson, a graduate in Contemporary History, retraces the path of what has become the Auger family legend. Will the historical facts contradict this legend?
