This Book was inspired by my beautiful mother, who is a cancer survivor and my awesome son, Tyler Hunter who enjoys playing sports. I was Inspired to write this children's book because of my son Tyler's curiosity of seeing my mom having to wear a hair wig after her chemotherapy and radiation treatments. Tyler was too young to fully understand the capacity of what she was doing and why. He didn't understand why his grandmother didn't have any hair. This children's book reflects the importance of family and community support for cancer patients. I wanted to show children, when people are suffering from Cancer, they have to be considerate and kind by not treating them differently based on how they look.It is important to raise awareness of the effects of Cancer Survival through the eyes of a child. This book will explain the side effects of Cancer by not using medical terminologies but by speaking to them in their language. So I decided to help children understand how to embrace differences in social appearances in all social classes, especially Cancer Patients and Cancer Survivors.
