The book 'A Princess in God's Eyes', is slightly different from other available books out on the market. Throughout these pages and throughout my testimony, I made sure it was my voice and my story that was heard. I used to feel so ashamed about where I came from or the many different trials life threw at me. I began to develop an obsession with trying to be "perfect" in the eyes of those around me. I began to accept that I can only do the best I can and turned my "flaws", my "errors" into something that I could feel proud of. This book embraces not only my short comings in my daily life, but it also shows that I am willing to let some of my imperfections show with allowing myself to be my own editor and proof-reader. Does this mean that I might have a flaw here and there? Possibly, and absolutely so I refuse to live a life where I feel subjected to live up to other's ideas of "perfection". I am determined to live the beautiful life of being happy with who I am, a person who isn't perfect but tries her best. (all branches of (TM)Flawlet) These ideas were ones that I had at the young age of 16 when I felt put on my heart to leave a flaw in my bracelets to show that we are loved by God, and we are still beautiful even in our inadequacies and imperfections. So just like my ministries that are close to my heart, so shall my book expose and show my imperfections, and yet it could still be a tool that is valuable and helpful for young women because we all need to be forgiving of ourselves for not quite meeting the mark. In my book I start out helping you discover your own walk with Christ and helping you find your identity through Him. I gradually add layers taking you deeper and deeper, showing how to love others, showing Christ's love for you, how to be bold and filled with courage, how to wait on God and understanding that you have a higher calling. I have a very out-side-the-box thinking, and I utilize that thinking as I strive for unconventional methods that may help real women in their real lives. I am not about being perfect or trying to sound perfect. I don't try to paint a picture that I have my life all together. I show the mess of the person I am and I out myself on my struggles, my weakness and my personal walk with Christ. This book is not for those who think they have all the answers. This is for those in need of love and healing, and in need of finding your own voice and developing your own belief and your own faith. This is a book for outcasts like me who feel battered, tired and in need of rest. This book is for those seeking a different perspective. This book is for those who really want to see God's love, mercy and grace. This is for those who want love to be the main message. This is for all those who feel like they don't fit in with others of faith. This book is for you.About the Author: My name is Courtney Spiva, and I am currently 26 years old. I grew up as a pastor's daughter and grand-daughter in the Fort Worth area. I have always felt that I had the love of Jesus to share with the world, and a story on my heart to inspire others. I know that my methods of reaching out may seem unconventional to those around me, but I have always lived a very spirit led lifestyle. I don't always use the same methods or logic that others use, but I believe that my out-side-of-the-box thinking will be able to reach an entirely different demographic of people who need healing.
